Rubbish Collection

CHANGES TO THE KERBSIDE WASTE AND RECYCLING WILL BE STARTING APRIL 1ST.

THE DAYS OF COLLECTION OF BOTH WASTE AND RECYCLING WILL BE CHANGING. PLEASE REFER TO THE NEW COLLECTION DAYS ON THE MAPS BELOW.

Waste and Recycling Collection

The Shire provides a weekly household refuse and fortnightly recycling collection service, through the services of it’s contractor, Toxfree.

The waste bins provided with the service are 240L green bins with a green lid and recycling bins that can be either 240L or 360L and have a yellow lid.

Recycling bins are emptied fortnightly on the same day of the week as the waste service, as of the 1st April the recycle services may have changed in your area, please refer to the attached map below:

Waste and recycling collections occur between 6 am to 6 pm for domestic customers, and on weekends for some commercial customers.

Recycling Service

The items that can be placed into your kerbside recycling bin are :

·         Code 1 plastics

·         Code 2 plastics

·         Aluminium and steel cans

·         Glass containers

·         Newspaper

·         Cardboard

·         Liquid paperboard

Items not permitted to be placed in any bins for collection are:

·         Hot burning ashes

·         Oil

·         Liquids

·         Paint and Solvents

·         Bricks and Concrete

·         Earth

·         Heavy materials or other like substances

·         Car batteries
