Applications for the Shire of Broome Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

The Shire of Broome Youth Advisory Council is delivered by the Shire of Broome with funding support from Rio Tinto and is one of the initiatives identified in the Shire of Broome Youth Framework that guides the Shire’s involvement in youth services.

Participants are involved in developing and delivering events and projects for young people in Broome, and gain leadership, work and life skills by working closely with other members, mentors and Shire of Broome staff.

The group meets regularly and there are 10 positions available for young people aged from 14 to 24, with the only requirements being a positive attitude, commitment to attend and participate in meetings and events, and a passion for representing the interests of young people.

To apply for the YAC, please complete the attached form and return to the Shire by 29 March 2018; for more information please contact the Youth and Community Development Officer on 9191 3456.
