Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow at Broome Civic Centre

Buckle up Broome, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow is hitting the road to home deliver the freshest and funniest from Australia’s largest comedy festival!

With an all-killer, no-filler cast of Australian stars, talented newcomers and international performers it has all your comedy bases covered, and hits the Broome Civic Centre for one show only on Thursday 25 May, presented by the Shire of Broome.

Featuring everything from stand-up to sketch, slapstick to song, each individual line-up presents the best of the Festival in one hilarious show, and the Broome line-up will feature MC Cal Wilson, Danielle Walker, Carl Donnelly (UK), Daniel Connell and Josh Earl.

Cal Wilson came across the Tasman from NZ in 2003 and has gone on to become one of Australia’s most popular comedians and a perennial favourite on TV shows such as ‘Spicks and Specks’, ‘Good News Week’ and ‘Thank God You’re Here’.

Danielle Walker is known for her dark and twisted everyday observations and stories. Recently crowned RAW Comedy 2016 National Champion, and placing third in the UK’s ‘So you think you’re funny’ competition, Danielle started her comedy career in Townsville and quickly moved to Melbourne to establish herself.

An Edinburgh Fringe favourite, Carl Donnelly’s style of comedy has landed him Best Newcomer at The Chortle Awards (2007), Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (2007) and Laughing Horse New Act of the Year (2006). Known internationally, Carl has performed at some of the biggest comedy festivals in the world including Montreal Just for Laughs, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival and Kilkenny Cat Laughs.

One of the most active comedians in Australia, Daniel Connell can be seen sharing a stage with comedians like Jimeoin, Glenn Robbins, Denise Scott and Dave Hughes.

Josh Earl is an award-winning comedian, cake enthusiast and host of TV and radio (Spicks and Specks and 3RRRFM’s Breakfasters). With a comedy CV that most comedians would dream of, Josh has shared stage and screen with the likes of Tim Minchin, Ade Edmondson and Arj Barker.
