Alcohol Management Plan
If you plan to obtain an occasional alcohol license for a one-off event on Shire property or public space, the Shire requires an Alcohol Management Plan. For further information telephone (08) 9191 3456.
Reduction of Venue Hire Charges
The Shire will consider a 50% reduction on all charges (excluding deposit) to non-profit organisations, fundraising events or community events, upon application. The Application will be referred to the Chief Executive Officer and each application will be judged on its merit.

Broome Community Civic Centre
Located Between Hamersley & Weld Street
The Civic Centre was built in 1973 and seats 450 people in the main hall. There is a raised stage which is often used for theatrical productions, dances and concerts. The stage area comes complete with dressing rooms, toilets and wash facilities.
A function room is suitable for meetings of 40 people and small displays are also available. Kitchen and bar facilities are located off the main hall and tables and chairs are included with the hire.
Broome Recreation And Aquatic Centre
Cable Beach Rd, Broome
In addition to its sporting and leisure facilities, Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre (BRAC) has the facilities to host special events, performances and exhibitions. BRAC's 1504 square metre indoor stadium is used annually for the North West Expo and the Worn Art performances. In addition to the stadium, BRAC has an 85 square metre multi-purpose room, toilets/change-rooms, food outlets and bar facilities.
Use of BRAC for special events, performances and exhibitions is subject to certain conditions and availability. It is a condition of use that the stadium floor be protected with carpet if any type of staging, props or chairs are to be used.

Public Open Space
Town Beach, Apex Park, Lions Park
The Town Beach park complex provides an excellent venue for outdoor events. The Staircase Markets take place on the full moon and various festivals and events are held here annually.
Cable Beach Amphitheatre
Cable Beach Road
The Cable beach Amphitheatre offers magnificent views of Cable Beach and enough space to accommodate full stage production equipment, marquees and grassed seating for up to 2000 people. Spectacular productions from the WA Ballet and WA Symphony Orchestra, and festival events are regularly held here.
Haynes Oval and Male Oval
Both Haynes and Male Ovals are used for festivals and multicultural activities. Annual levies are charged to sporting organisations based on the particular sport.
