Exciting season underway in Broome

A bumper 2018 season is building with an exciting calendar of events getting underway in Broome to provide a welcome boost for the town. 

Broome Shire President, Harold Tracey, says it's exciting to see such a full calendar of events to entertain and inform locals and attract visitors.

"Events provide a boost both economically and socially, and in Broome we're blessed with an exciting and dynamic calendar," he says.

"In 2018 we also have the exciting Singapore flight trial kicking off, as well as regular cruise ship visits.

"The Shire of Broome is pleased to support a wide variety of events in Broome through its tourism policy, and community and economic development grants programs."

  • Beach 2 Bay Virtual Swim: 8 Apr
  • Comedy Gold @ Broome Civic Centre: 14 Apr
  • Anzac Day Dawn Service: 25 Apr
  • Lighthouse Girl @ Broome Civic Centre: 5 May
  • Gibb Challenge and Fatbike National Champs: 11-18 May
  • Melbourne International Comedy Festival: 16 May
  • Cable Beach Polo: 26-27 May
  • Kyle’s Cable Beach Walk: 27 May
  • Reconciliation Week: 1 Jun
  • Broome Race Round: 2 Jun then ongoing
  • Thursday Night Markets: 7 Jun then ongoing
  • Cable Beach Sunset Markets: 13 Jun then ongoing
  • Kullarri NAIDOC: 30 Jun - 8 Jul
  • Broome Marathon: 1 Jul
  • Surf Club Sunset Challenge: 7-8 Jul
