Hunter St is one of the main feeder roads in the light industrial area of Old Broome and now requires complete reconstruction to address failing pavement and drainage issues.

Roadline Civil Contractors has been engaged by the Shire of Broome to complete Stage 1 of the works between Clementson St and Lucas St.

Work will begin on Monday 7 May and continue for about eight weeks. Stage 2 work is scheduled to be carried out later in 2018.

There will be site clearing and demolition works, road works, drainage works, kerbing and crossover construction completed as part of the project.

Due to the nature of the works there may be minor disruptions to local traffic, noise and vibration. The Shire apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused.

The site will be a nominated “Construction Area” and there will be restricted access through the site.

Traffic Management will be used to direct road users and pedestrians to businesses within the site.

Traffic Controllers will do their best to provide adequate access to residential premises and local businesses at all times.
