Waste Management Facility

The Waste Management Facility (refuse site) is located 9km from town off Broome Highway and is open from 7.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am - 1pm on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Householders are to ensure that when removing refuse to the rubbish tip it is secure and does not litter the roadside. Persons wishing to dispose of wastes containing asbestos should contact the Environmental Health Officer before doing so.

No waste containing asbestos will be accepted at the tip unless it is completely enveloped in plastic and sealed with adhesive tape. Please contact the Environmental Health Officer to find out about specific precautions that need to be observed when handling asbestos waste.

Need Mulch For Your Garden?

The Shire of Broome Refuse Site is now providing garden mulch free for domestic and commercial use.

Shire of Broome staff are available to load mulch between 7.30am and 12noon Monday to Friday, and between 9am and 12noon on Sundays.
