The Shire Engineering Team is responsible for most of Council's Technical Services in the form of the construction and maintenance of the physical infrastructure, excluding Council buildings.

The team is made up of three sections; Survey, Design and Administration, Works Team and Parks and Gardens Team. Combined areas of responsibility for the Engineering Team :

• Environmental Protection
• Car Parking facilities
• Street Lighting
• Road Furniture
• Shire Works Depot and Plant Nursery
• Waste water effluent reuse system
• Recreation reserves, parks and ovals
• Horticulture advice and planning
• Road verges, reticulation systems and bores
• Cemeteries
