Ward Boundaries Review - Your Input Sought
The Shire of Broome is seeking your input as the Local Government Act (1995) requires the Shire to conduct a review of its ward boundaries and the number of councillors in each ward. Currently there are seven Councillors representing the Broome Ward and two Councillors representing the Dampier Ward.
Do we have enough Councillors or too many? Are you happy with the ward boundaries? Would you like to create new wards? Perhaps you think the wards should be renamed or the Shire should be known as the Town of Broome. Or is the current structure just fine?
Download a copy of the discussion paper and submission form. Copies are also available from the Shire Administration Centre or can be viewed at the Broome Library
All Submissions should be sent to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Broome before 12 Noon Wednesday 5 November 2008
Can you find your car here?
The Library has just taken out a subscription to the Ebsco Auto Repair Reference Centre which includes diagrams & details for more than 31,660 vehicles. Please note you will need to enter your library card number as your patron id. Access the database.
There is some American bias "Gas" instead of "Petrol" and cars have different names when they are released in Australia and America.
