Cyclone Smart
Cyclones cause extremely high winds (known to exceed 200 km/h), flooding from associated rainfall and storm surge in low lying coastal areas. During the height of cyclones, winds can cause debris to become potentially lethal missiles and create extensive property damage.
FESA State Emergency Service (SES) has prime responsibility for ensuring coordinated, timely and effective help is provided to communities hit by cyclones. FESA has developed a range of information brochures and pamphlets that form a valuable resource kit for all community members. The kits are available from your local Council office, visitor centres or from FESA's website.
Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the kit and when you have, FESA would like a little of your time to convey your opinion of the content and usability, by completing the short survey using the following link.
