As a response to the ongoing impact that the COVID-19 pandemic is having on our region, the Shire of Broome Council approved a new Community Support Package at a Special Council Meeting on April 9.

To be rolled out in stages, the first instalment includes 16 initiatives that will benefit residents or businesses in either a financial or social way.

This includes the freezing of rates, fees and charges for 2020-21, rent relief for businesses that occupy Shire-run premises and a community support grants program.

The community grants program will replace the Annual Community Matched Funding Program, with guidelines and application forms listed at the bottom of this page. The grants program will be open from April 30 to May 20, 2020.
