Male Oval
Located at the juncture of Napier Terrace and the Broome Highway.
Male Oval, with its spacious grounds and close proximity to Chinatown, is one of Broome's best locations for large public gatherings. The concourse makes an ideal venue for sporting events, fairs, concerts and other festival activities. With plenty of public parking, access to public toilets and a concourse big enough to house large amounts of equipment, it is the preferred venue for visiting circuses.
Haynes Oval
Located on the corner of Frederick and Lyons Street.
With appropriate lighting and changing rooms, Haynes Oval is used by local sporting clubs on a weekly basis.

Cable Beach Reserve
North end of Cable Beach Road
Located at the end of Cable Beach Road and across from the Cable Beach Club Resort, the Cable Beach Reserve provides an excellent park facility and access to Cable Beach. Overlooking the the wide expanse of Cable Beach to the Indian Ocean, the spacious grassy park area provides a perfect venue for outdoor activities and picnics. Walking and driving access to the beach is available as well as public toilets, a children's playground, food kiosk, picnic tables and public telephones. The Reserve is also a scheduled pickup and drop-off point for the Town Bus making transportation accessible to and from town.
A large car park provides ample parking facilities for visitors and for those who choose to drive onto the North End of Cable Beach, a sealed access road down to the beach is also available. Cars are only allowed on the North End of Cable Beach beyond the rocks and must adhere to strict speed limits. Driving access onto the beach can be restricted due to tidal fluctuations and it is recommended that visitors check tide charts before venturing onto the beach area.
Bedford Memorial Park
Hamersley Street near Mercure Hotel
Located along Hamersley Street and in front of the Mercure Hotel, this small historical park is an interesting and peaceful spot. With its wide expanse of green lawns, views of the aqua blue waters of Roebuck Bay and its varied historical monuments, Bedford Memorial Park is not only a good place to picnic and relax but a visitor attraction as well. Located amidst its varied Palm and Boab trees, are a number of historical monuments and plaques which visitors can explore as they stroll through the park. The Anzac Memorial commemorating the bravery of Broome soldiers during World War I dominates the centre of the park grounds, with the remains of the engine that used to drive the pearling industry's life saving decompression chamber and a replica of the explorer William Dampier's fabled trunk the other most visible features. A number of other historical plaques dot the landscape and there are benches to provide comfortable seating for those who wish to relax.
Town Beach Reserve
South end of Robinson Street, adjacent to Roebuck Bay Caravan Park
Town Beach Reserve is a spacious park facility overlooking Roebuck Bay with a sheltered and popular swimming beach. A children's playground, public toilets, electric BBQ's kiosk and public picnic facilities provide visitors with recreational services and there is a sealed carpark area and boat launch ramp for fishermen and boating enthusiasts. Lions Pioneer Park and Apex Park are a part of the Town Beach Reserve as well as the site of the Pioneer Historical Cemetery.
Previously the site of the old Broome Long Jetty, Town Beach has a sweeping panorama of Roebuck Bay and is a popular venue for viewing the Staircase to the Moon phenomenon. During Staircase events, Staircase Markets are held on the park grounds and local artisans, crafts people and food vendors offer a wide variety of merchandise and ethnic food options. Parking and entrance into the Staircase Markets is free of charge.
During most of the year, The Town Beach Cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a delightful evening dining venue.
