The Shire of Broome is undertaking a review of its Strategic Community Plan.

This plan describes a vision for the future and how the Shire will work towards achieving the vision.

Everyone is invited to have their say.

The review commenced in June and is expected to be completed in December.

A MARKYT® Community Scorecard was promoted across the community. It was completed by 1,046 respondents. Results are now available on the Shire’s website.

Jun – Jul 2020

Desktop review of existing research, plans and strategies is being completed to leverage existing knowledge and insights.

Aug – Sept 2020

Council Workshop. Council will meet to consider community feedback and develop concepts for testing.

15 Sept 2020

Community Workshops. These workshops are open to all ratepayers, residents, businesses and community groups. The purpose is to share community feedback and to test concepts that are being considered to address community priorities. Please register to attend a workshop by visiting CATALYSE’s website. 16 & 17 Sept 2020

Community Conversations. Elected Members and Shire staff will hold conversations with community members to test and refine concepts in the draft Strategic Community Plan.

Sept – Oct 2020

Council Workshop. Council will meet to consider community feedback and to workshop the vision, outcomes, strategies and resource requirements.

Oct 2020

Strategic Community Plan. A draft plan will be developed and reviewed by Council.

Nov 2020

Council Meeting. Council will meet to finalise the draft Strategic Community Plan.
