The Broome Public Library and Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre will reopen on Monday, as the State Government’s relaxations around COVID-19 restrictions come into play.

The Shire has prepared COVID Safety Plans and have undertaken stringent planning ahead of our facilities being accessible to the public once more.

The State Government have stipulated that a maximum of 20 patrons are allowed to access libraries at any given time. At BRAC, 20 people will be able to access the aquatic space, 20 in the stadium and 10 in the indoor courts.

The Library will open 10am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, while BRAC will be open 6am – 6pm, seven days per week.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact staff at the facilities to book a spot before arriving, which will help avoid disappointment.

Please exercise patience as our new systems are put in place. ID will also be required to access the facilities.

From Monday, to contact the library, call 9191 3477. To contact BRAC, call 9191 8720.
