Shire Rangers have received a number of reports of dog attacks in Broome this year – and as such it is pertinent for pet owners to take responsibility of their animals.

The best safeguard to prevent your dog from attacking another animal or person, or being attacked, is to ensure your property boundaries are secure.

The most common scenario in which dogs are attacked, or attack, is when they escape from the owner’s property.

Most dog owners are doing the right thing by registering and microchipping their pets, and ensuring secure property boundaries – thank you.

However, to avoid unsavoury dog-related instances in Broome, all pet owners need to be mindful of their responsibilities.
