Australia’s funniest and most-recognisable comedians are coming to Broome Civic Centre on September 9-10 and tickets are selling fast.

The first show not to miss is Over the Fence (OTF), showing on Thursday, September 9. OTF is the Perth-based, internationally recognised world of comedy shorts.

This side-splitting show will present upcoming and independent filmmakers and bring the comedy world of WA to Broome’s doorstep.

OTF dives into the absurdities of life and presents comedy films that change the way we view today’s current world. If you’re after a show that will make you smile, grin, wonder and laugh – than this is the show for you.

Hot on the heels will be Comedy Gold, which is showing on Friday, September 10.

Comedy Gold returns to Broome with some of Australia's greatest comedic talents, including MC Ben Darsow, Alissa Marsh, Chris Schinn and feature act Randy Feltface.

The content from these comedians is contemporary, full of excitable wit and has been wowing audiences around the state.

Shire of Broome president Harold Tracey said the upcoming comedy shows were a great showcase of the comedic genius Australia has to offer.

“It is a real credit to the Civic Centre to have the best comedians across the world come to our great venue - these two shows don’t come around everyday,” he said.

“This line up will have you in stitches and rolling in the aisle with laughter.

“I have heard from other regions that Comedy Gold has already taken the state by storm with the team just completing 10 shows in 10 through regional and metro Western Australia. We are lucky that it is heading to Broome.”
