The next Shire of Broome Ordinary Meeting of Council will take place on Thursday, July 29 at the Shire Administration Building.

A number of important decisions will be made, with a busy agenda for the Councillors to vote on.

The Shire has requested the Council to consider the establishment of a new Community Safety Working Group, while a new Waste Management Strategy and Action Plan has been submitted for potential endorsement.

Consent is being sought from Council to proceed with advertising a new draft Local Planning Strategy and Scheme to gain submissions.

There is a recommendation for the Council to establish a Behaviour Complaints Committee and endorse a new relevant policy that would be applicable to Council Members, Committee Members and Candidates.

There will be two items to be heard behind closed doors – the assessment of tenders received for the redevelopment of Streeter’s Jetty and the CEO’s performance appraisal.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and can submit questions for Council ahead of time – for more information and to read the agenda, click here.
