The Shire of Broome is excited to release the Youth Plan 2025–2029 for public comment—and we want your voice to be heard.

This plan outlines our commitment to creating a Broome where young people feel safe, supported, and inspired. From improving access to health services and youth-friendly transport, to delivering meaningful events, programs and creative opportunities, we want to ensure the Youth Plan reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.

To get to this point, we’ve partnered with key stakeholders and local experts in the youth sector, and most importantly, we’ve listened to young people themselves. Through interviews, workshops, and the Shire of Broome Youth Forum, local youth shared their ideas, priorities, and challenges to help shape the vision and actions in this plan.

Now is the time to tell us:

  • How can we better engage with young people?

  • What kinds of events, programs or facilities would make a difference?

  • How can we support young people to thrive?

How to provide feedback:

Email us: shire@broome.wa.gov.au
Talk to us in person: Visit our engagement stall at the Boulevard Shopping Centre on Monday 10 June, between 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

Your input will help us build a brighter future for Broome’s youth.
