Visiting Children's Authors

The fabulous Frané Lessac and Mark Greenwood will be in Broome presenting sessions to school students as part of our Children's Book Week celebrations.  

We extend an invitation to home school families to attend our sessions.  Please contact Lesley at the library for suitable session options.

Spring Into Water Safety Story-Time

Join us for a special free story-time at 10am Tuesday 2 September.

Water safety is one of the most important lessons for our children, and this session will use a story, songs and fun to share important water safety messages.

Regional Tech Hub

Rachael and Georgia from Regional Tech Hub will be available in the library, for members of the public to drop in for assistance with internet or phone setup, troubleshooting and exploring connectivity options.

Celebrating the official launch of Kim Courtenay's latest book "Ghosts of Yilagun".

An eclectic collection of fishing tales and anecdotes from a well-known Broome local. 

Copies will be available for purchase from the author.

Learn more about aged care at Broome Public Library

Broome Public Library is partnering with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) in a community engagement initiative to raise awareness about changes to aged care. These changes – known as the aged care reforms – will improve aged care in Australia now and into the future.

Visit the aged care information hub located in Broome Public Library for the next few months to learn about aged care.
