The Shire of Broome is calling for expressions of interest from community members who would like to play an active role in shaping the future of our town.
A select few of the Shire’s community reference groups have recently refreshed their Terms of Reference, creating an opportunity for new community members to join and contribute to key initiatives that support positive outcomes for Broome.
The Arts and Culture Reference Group will guide and support the implementation of the Shire’s Arts and Culture Strategy. Community representatives will help ensure the strategy reflects local values, celebrates Broome’s unique identity, and enhances opportunities for creative expression across the Shire.
The primary purpose of the community reference group is to:
- Oversee the implementation of key strategic plan actions.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders towards shared community goals.
- Act as community champions, helping raise awareness and support for the strategic plan.
- Receive updates and provide feedback on Shire initiatives, while identifying opportunities and emerging trends within the community.
