Yarns and a Cuppa - Meet Peter and Rosie

9.30am Saturday 6th June 2026

You saw them perform on ABC TV's "The Piano". Now come hear the story of how a stocman in his 90s is leading the charge to share his language with the world.

Meet 92yo Thiinma Elder Peter Salmon and his longtime collaborator Rosie Sitorus.
Peter and Rosie will share stories, music and conversations about language and culture.

The importance of music in early childhood development is well known, and this concert brings the finest to our youngest! Enjoy a short program of beautiful music in a relaxed and comfortable environment specifically designed for you and your baby.

We finish the experience with help from you and your bub in a round of nursery rhymes for everyone.

Whether it’s our love of ‘catch and cook’, dealing with the bounty of our seasonal gardens, enjoying our food festivals, a treat from the community markets, or sharing food with family and friends, food is a community connector.
