BRAC Swim School Now Open for Enrolments!

Enrolments for Term 1 2026 will close on the 16th February at 11:30pm

We believe that learning to swim is essential to your child's education and should be an enjoyable, safe and fun experience. Our experienced, qualified, caring and patient instructors are all nationally certified. Our small class sizes and comfortable learning environment will help to make each stage of learning to swim a pleasant experience.

If your child has not attended swimming lessons at BRAC before or you are unsure as to which level best suits your child's abilities, please contact BRAC Swim School to arrange an assessment prior to enrolling.

Children from six months to adult age can enrol in our infant, pre-school, school age or adult program.

Aqua Ducks – Parent & Baby Classes (6 Months Old to 4 Years Old)

Our priority is to teach parents how to facilitate positive learning experiences for their children in the water. Our classes aim to develop your child's respect for the water through non-traumatic learning experiences such as songs and games.

Classes for six-month-old infants will focus more on sensory stimulation, whereas classes for older children will aim to develop propulsion through the water and develop safety skills.

  • Cost - $17.50 per lesson.   
  • 8 participant maximum.
  • Aqua Duck 1, Aqua Duck 2, Aqua Duck 3, Aqua Duck 4, Aqua Duck 5 and Aqua Duck 6 run in Term 1 (February to April) and Term 4 (October to December) only.
  • Parents are required to be in the water their child. Siblings can be booked in our Creche Monday - Friday 8am - 12.30pm

Parent & Baby classes aim to provide an environment which:

  • Enhances both you and your child's awareness of water safety. 
  • Provides exciting and positive bonding experiences between you and your child.  
  • Promotes the development of important social skills such as sharing and effective communication.
  • Provides a fun environment in which to meet other parents.

 

Swim and Survive Learn to Swim - Ages 4 years and above

Cost - $17.50 per lesson.

These classes are available throughout the school year. Students are placed into one of nine levels beginning with the complete novice and progressing to a learner with proficiency in all five strokes. Self-survival and water safety skills are included to provide a more comprehensive swimming and water safety program.

The Junior Life Guard Club is available for those students in Stages 10 and above. In the Junior lifeguard Club students will complete the necessary skills to receive their higher stage certificates and will also learn the role and duties of a lifeguard as well as take part in lifesaving scenarios.

 The Junior Squad program is open to children that have achieved Stages 8 and above. This program is aimed at continuing to develop your child's Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly technique toward competitive swimming or swimming for health and fitness.

Programs available

Terms one and four operate as 10 week terms where children are required to attend one lesson per week.  Due to decreased pool temperatures Term 2 (May) and Term 3 (September) lessons will operate as a five-week series. Children will be required to attend two lessons per week in order to complete their level. Lessons are held between 3.00pm – 5.30pm Monday to Thursday for the Swim and Survive Program. Please contact the centre for enrolment details. Payments need to be finalised before lessons commence.

The BRAC Aqua Duck Program is available in Terms One and Four with parent and child enrolling to attend swimming lessons once a week for 10 weeks. Classes will be available on Monday. Due to the reduced pool temperatures experienced in Terms Two and Three, the Aqua Duck (Ages 6 months – 4 Years) swimming program will not operate. BRAC and the Learn to Swim team want swimming lesson to be an enjoyable and positive experience for you and your child.

 

Adult Swim Group

The Adult Swim Group program operates on Monday & Wednesday mornings, 5.45am - 6.45am.

The adult swim group is aimed at adults who want to learn to swim, stroke development, technique and those training for events such triathlons and open water swims. It is casual program with an $13.00 entry fee or $9.00 with a concessions and membership options available. There is no need to book! Just come down and have a chat to BRAC's qualified coach.
