Cable Beach Comes Alive: Stage 1 Redevelopment & Surf Club Opening Party

The heart of Broome’s coastline has undergone a stunning transformation – and you’re invited to celebrate!

Join us behind the Broome Surf Life Saving Club from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, 6 June 2025 for Cable Beach Comes Alive – a free community event marking the official opening of Stage 1 of the Walmanyjun Cable Beach Redevelopment.

Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening of live music, delicious eats from local food trucks, and plenty of entertainment. There’ll be face painting for the kids, skateboarding demos, interactive games, and basketball shootouts to keep everyone entertained.

Take the opportunity to explore the impressive new Surf Club facilities and upgraded Cable Beach precinct, featuring landscaped pathways, exercise area and a disability-accessible ramp on the southern side of the building for improved access to the beach.

Additional parking will be available at the nearby Old Croc Park, just a short stroll from the beachfront festivities.
