The Shire of Broome will soon be re-sealing a selection of local roads. These re-sealing works are being carried out in accordance with the Shire’s asset management plan to extend the life of the town's roadways.
These works are scheduled to be completed between 16 to 30 September (inclusive of weekend).
While the nature of these works means exact dates and times for each location cannot be confirmed in advance, every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience. We do not expect any disruption to residents to last longer than one business day. Scheduling is also subject to change due to the nature of the works, including factors such as plant availability, equipment breakdowns, product drying times, site traffic, and weather conditions.
Appropriate traffic management, signage, and controllers shall be on-site during the sealing process to facilitate the works with as minimal disruption as possible.
Re-sealing roads is necessary to maintain the Broome Shire roadways, but disturbances to neighbouring residents and road users are likely to arise from the nature of these works. These disturbances will be limited in time, and the Shire of Broome and the bitumen contractors will endeavour to minimize them.
In case of concerns, you can contact the Shire of Broome on 9191 3456
We will ask residents to avoid on-road parking and to keep traffic to a minimum during the works.
