Access to Broome’s beaches will be impacted for at least the remainder of the week after the wet weather in recent days.

Driving onto Cable Beach will be unavailable for the foreseeable future due to water damage to the access ramp. Pedestrians can still use the footpath to walk down to the beach.

The vehicle access to Gantheaume Point has also been heavily altered due to the rain. The Shire team are working to restore this, but for the time being beach-goers are asked to park their cars at the top of the access road and walk down.

We will update the community as the situation changes.
