Road works will commence along a section of Old Broome Road from the beginning of February 2026. Partial and full road closures will occur intermittently between March and July 2026.

Due to the unavailability of traffic control staff, the BRAC 2 Beach Fun Run scheduled to take place on Sunday morning has been postponed until further notice.
The Shire of Broome can confirm the event will take place at a later date and is being postponed due to a lack of traffic control staff, rather than cancelled.
The safety of participants is paramount and as such the difficult decision to postpone the event has been taken.
Apologises for any inconvenience caused – a new event date will be released soon.
