Temporary changes to BRAC opening times

As has been experienced across organisations in Broome and around the state, BRAC is experiencing a shortage of qualified staff to cover all opening hours.

With safety around the water being paramount, BRAC management have made the difficult decision to temporarily amend opening hours from Thursday, March 16 while additional staff are recruited and/or trained with the appropriate qualifications. 

It is hoped the centre can resume regular operating hours during the April school holidays.

Temporary opening times from Thursday, March 16

  • Weekdays: BRAC will open at 7.45am instead of the usual 5.45am There will be no change to weekday closing times.
  • Weekend operating hours will remain unchanged.

The temporary hours will have little impact on programs such as swim lessons, aqua aerobics, school carnivals and our resident swim club.

However, they will impact regular early morning lap swimmers and court users. If members have bought memberships to use those facilities during the early morning period, BRAC can place their membership on hold for the time that the changes are in place.
