With the increased number of people visiting Broome and one of our busiest weeks of the year ahead due to the culmination of the racing season, the Shire of Broome would like to remind people of their obligations in relation to COVID-19.

While the response to COVID-19 is a WA Health Department responsibility, we all have a role to play to keep the community safe.

Western Australia has been in a privileged position during the pandemic compared to other places across the world and even within Australia.

To maintain this, it is important that you:

  • Get tested for COVID if you feel sick or are displaying symptoms
  • Maintain good hand hygiene
  • Use the Safe WA app to check into public places such as restaurants, bars and supermarkets
  • Follow the latest health advise from the WA Government, which can be accessed here.

The Shire’s COVID-19 information page is regularly updated and can be accessed here.
