Shire of Broome rangers would like to remind all dog owners to take care with their pets and to make sure that they are well secured at home.

So far in 2020, rangers have impounded over 100 dogs that have been found wandering the streets unsupervised.

The majority of these animals had to be impounded due to the dog not being microchipped or registered, or the owners contact information being out of date.

With everyone going through this current COVID-19 pandemic, rangers want to avoid putting animals through the pound.

We would like all dog owners to please put in place any necessary measures to make sure your best mate doesn’t get out.
