Upgrade work at Broome Cemetery underway
Published on 02 March 2020
The Shire of Broome is currently undertaking work at the Broome Cemetery, with the upgrades aimed at improving the facility for members of the public.
The project will be split into two stages, with a concept design portrayed in the image above.
Shire works crew have been busy upgrading the cemetery’s internal gravel roads in recent weeks to make the facility more accessible and improve the amenity of the area.
The new roads will be sealed to make vehicle access smoother and ensure follow-up maintenance work needs to occur on a less-frequent basis.
Survey works are also set to take place, with trees to be trimmed and the grounds improved.
There will also be a kerbing project undertaken.
The initial work is set to be concluded by the end of March.
The Shire of Broome thanks the community for its patience whilst this work is undertaken.
