Mandatory Review of Local Laws
Pursuant to section 3.16 of the Local Government Act 1995 the Shire of Broome proposes to commence the mandatory review process required under the Local Government Amendment Act 2024 to consider if the local laws should be repealed, left as is or amended.
The following Local Laws are up for review and community comment on prospective changes is requested:
- Health Local Law
- Property and Public Places Local Law
- Trading and Outdoor Dining Local Law
A copy of the Local Laws can be found on the Shire of Broome website at www.broome.wa.gov.au or can be inspected or obtained at the Shire of Broome Administration Office.
Submissions regarding the Local Laws may be made to the Shire prior to 4pm, 2 December 2026.
