From 1 December, the Shire team will be carrying out maintenance at the Guy Street / Hunter street intersection. Traffic management and detours will be in place.
The Shire of Broome Youth Advisory Council is delivered by the Shire of Broome with funding support from Rio Tinto and is one of the initiatives identified in the Shire of Broome Youth Plan that guides the Shire’s involvement in youth services.
Participants are involved in developing and delivering events and projects for young people in Broome, and gain leadership, work and life skills by working closely with other members, mentors and Shire of Broome staff.
The group meets regularly and there are 10 positions available for young people aged from 12 to 24, with the only requirements being a positive attitude, commitment to attend and participate in meetings and events, and a passion for representing the interests of young people.
