Schools

Broome Senior High School, Broome Primary School, Cable Beach Primary School, Broome North Primary School and Roebuck Primary School make up the Broome Cluster of Independent Schools. A fantastic arrangement ensuring the very best education to all Broome students. As individual schools each school is a leading independent public school delivering world class education to the Broome community. As the Broome Cluster of Independent Schools we represent Four Schools-One Community. Working together to enhance our individual and shared excellence. The primary schools do an amazing job and close to 90% of students stay in Broome to complete high school education. In 2012 Broome Senior High School was voted WA Secondary School of the Year. St Mary's College is a coeducational Kindergarten - Year 12 Catholic School with a rich history of educating students from across the Kimberley for over 100 years.

North Regional TAFE

North Regional TAFE (NRT) is the largest provider of training and vocational services in the north of Western Australia, servicing industries and communities across a region exceeding one million square kilometres.

NRT has 11 campuses, situated in Broome, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek, Karratha, Kununurra, Newman, Pundulmurra (South Hedland), Minurmarghali Mia (Roebourne), Tom Price, and Wyndham. The College delivers more than 200 nationally recognised qualifications and short courses in over 25 different industry areas, focusing on the vital practical and theoretical skills employers seek. Training is also offered in the form of skill sets, short courses, literacy/numeracy, and work-readiness programs designed to prepare students for the workplace.

University

The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Broome Campus is a unique university in the heart of the Kimberley, providing a supportive learning environment. A range of student support services are provided including the  Academic Enabling and Support Centre. Notre Dame’s Broome Campus is committed to providing strong support for the process of reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians. The Broome Campus provides a supportive environment for all students and an opportunity for non-Aboriginal and Aboriginal people to come together and learn about Aboriginal history and culture.
