No longer on display. Expired on 27 March 2021, 04:00 PM

The Shire of Broome has launched an online survey as part of the Community Review process for the new Regional Resource Recovery Park (RRRP) – an initiative to secure our town’s waste management needs long into the future.

A six-week Community Review process commenced on February 15, with the Broome community invited to review the work the Shire has undertaken to date and have an input on this critical infrastructure project.

The survey will gather community feedback on a number of components of the RRRP, including the investigations carried out to date and the site selection process.

The short online survey is open until Saturday, March 27 and can be undertaken at www.rrrp.com.au.

In addition to the survey, the Shire is hosting two information sessions to give residents an opportunity to gain information and insight into the project's history and processes.

Bookings can be made at www.eventbrite.com.au/o/shire-of-broome-31766337633 for the following sessions:

  • Coconut Well Residents: 5pm tonight, Thursday 4 March, Shire function room
  • General Community: 3pm tomorrow, Friday 5 March, Shire function room

Residents can also visit key sites around town to explore the project in more detail and speak one-on-one with Shire and technical representatives. Details are:

  • Friday 5 March 2021: 10am-1pm, Paspaley Plaza
  • Saturday 6 March 2021: 830am-11am, Broome Courthouse Markets and 1130am-2pm, Boulevard Shopping Centre
