The Shire of Broome is in the process of developing a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) for 2023-2028 and is seeking your input.

The purpose of the DAIP is to ensure that all people, including people with disability, are welcomed and included in the shire, and have access to Shire buildings, information, public consultations, complaints processes, services, and employment opportunities.

There are several different ways to get involved and provide feedback. Here are a few:

Community forums held at the Shire of Broome Function Room are free to attend, however RSVP is essential via mike.doyle@broome.wa.gov.au. The first will take place on Monday, March 13, from 5pm to 7pm. Followed by another on Tuesday, March 14, from 11am to 1pm. The free workshops will be casual and relaxed, giving participants an opportunity to network and consult.

The Shire welcomes your ideas on how we can make our community more accessible and inclusive for everyone and hopes to see you at one of the community forums.
