Roadworks to improve safety and traffic flow and repair aging infrastructure are underway on a section of Old Broome Road until late July. From Saturday 20 June until Wednesday 1 July, Old Broome Road is temporarily open to southbound traffic and pedestrians.

The Shire of Broome’s annual road resealing program is taking place soon, with work scheduled to take place from June 2-6.
Road closures will be in place at times, with detours put in place for motorists. Traffic management and control will also be utilised as needed.
Impacted residents and businesses have been consulted ahead of time to ensure they are aware of the work.
Roads that will have work undertaken include Bandicoot Loop, Bowerbird Loop, Maloo Way, Quoll Way, Wagtail Way, Carnarvon Street and Hamersley Street.
The Shire appreciates the community’s patience and understanding while this work is completed.
