  The Shire of Broome is hosting consultation sessions to engage with the community on the Cable Beach Foreshore Redevelopment. Cable Beach is a world-class tourism attraction but would benefit from improved infrastructure. Award-winning landscape architects Josh Byrne & Associates have been appointed to undertake detailed design services for the project and have a 50%concept design ready for the community to review.
To see the design in person and speak directly with the project team come down and see us at one or more of the following sessions:
• Thursday 10 March 5.30pm – 7.00pm - Community Information Session, Shire of Broome Function Room: an open session for anyone in the community who would like to meet with the project team and see the designs. • Friday 11 March 12.00pm – 2.00pm – Community Engagement Stall, Boulevard Shopping Centre: pop in, see the designs and speak to the team at the Boulevard whilst doing your shopping or grabbing your lunch.
• Friday 11 March 3.30pm – 6.00pm – Community Picnic, Cable Beach Foreshore (next to Zanders): this is an opportunity to spend some time at the foreshore and imagine how you and your family might use the improved space. There will be beach-themed activities for children, a FREE BBQ and refreshments and an opportunity to go on a site walk with Josh Byrne and the project team – immersing yourself in the current designs.
• Saturday 12 March 10.00am - 12.00pm – Community Engagement Stall, Boulevard Shopping Centre: pop in, see the designs and speak to the team at the Boulevard whilst doing your shopping.
