An impressive line-up of events has been booked for the Broome Civic Centre in 2020, with the upcoming season launched at a free function last week.

After a successful 2019, some much-loved favourites are set to return to the Kimberley venue this year.

Add a string of new performers and events to the mix and it promises to be an exciting and entertaining 2020.

The free Broome Civic Centre launch was held on Friday, February 21.

A Yawuru smoking ceremony took place, with a host of local performers also booked in to enthral attendees.

Those in attendance found out the 2020 line-up on the night, with upcoming shows previewed and unveiled.

Events include a side-splitting comedy night, multi-platinum songstress, a sensational dance group and much more.

Shire of Broome deputy president Desiree Male said the event line-up for 2020 ensured there were plenty of entertainment options available for all tastes.

“We are lucky to have such an amazing venue for performances and shows, with the Broome Civic Centre jam-packed with exciting events again for 2020,” she said.

“This much-loved venue created plenty of enjoyment for the Broome community in 2019 and we hope this year will be even better.”
