The penultimate Shire of Broome Ordinary Meeting of Council for 2021 is set to take place at 5pm on Thursday, November 18.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend to witness proceedings or raises queries at Public Question Time.

It is a busy agenda this month, with Councillors to decide on a number of important items.

There is an officer's recommendation that the Shire continue their financial support for Mamabulanjin Aboriginal Corporation to provide the Kullarri Patrol service, with Councillors to vote on the issue.

Development applications for properties on Challenor Drive and Hunter Street have been assessed, with Councillors to make the final decision on whether to grant them or not.

An item in relation to the Cable Beach vehicle ramp closure will be discussed after a recent meeting of the Yawuru Park Council.

Council will vote on members of a new Cable Beach Community and Stakeholder Reference Group, while continued work on the Shire’s Local Planning Scheme means an item around short-term residential accommodation will be voted on.

Shire staff have undertaken a review of existing Council policies, with recommendations presented for Council’s consideration.

Proposed Council meeting dates for 2022 will be voted on, while the minutes from two committee meetings and the financial activity report for October 2021 will be presented.
