The Shire of Broome will hold a Special Meeting of Council on December 21, with members of the public welcome to attend from 5pm at the Council Chambers.

A number of items have been tabled for discussion, before the Council breaks for the festive season and takes a recess in January 2022.

Coastal protection options for the Cable Beach Foreshore Redevelopment project are back on the agenda, with a report recommendation for Councillors' consideration following extensive investigations in the detailed design phase.

The Shire's Economic, Events and Tourism Development Funding guidelines have been reviewed, with a report recommendation that the revised guidelines be adopted.

Finally, officers have assessed tenders for the Broome Surf Lifesaving Club Redevelopment, with a recommended successful tenderer. Due to the commercial nature of the item, Council will consider this behind closed doors.
