Road works will commence along a section of Old Broome Road from the beginning of February 2026. Partial and full road closures will occur intermittently between March and July 2026. Old Broome Road to fully close on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

The Shire's works crew are currently undertaking maintenance work on the Town Beach playground, with the facility to be closed for the next few days.
The work is specifically taking place on the natural wood play area, with the playground scheduled to reopen by the end of the week.
