Road works will commence along a section of Old Broome Road from the beginning of February 2026. Partial and full road closures will occur intermittently between March and July 2026. Old Broome Road to fully close on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

The Shire of Broome is seeking community feedback on recent changes to dog access and restrictions at Cable Beach and Gantheaume Point, as well as the 12-month off-leash dog exercise trial at BRAC Oval, Haynes Oval and 13 local parks.
