Road works will commence along a section of Old Broome Road from the beginning of February 2026. Partial and full road closures will occur intermittently between March and July 2026.

The Shire of Broome advises that the Draft Public Health Plan 2026–2031 is now available for public comment.
The Plan has been developed in accordance with the Public Health Act 2016 (WA) and outlines key priorities and actions to protect, promote and improve the health and wellbeing of the Broome community over the next five years.
Community feedback is invited to help inform the finalisation of the Plan.
