Are you interested in becoming a Broome Shire Councillor? 

Would you like to know more about representing your community, how local government works, and the responsibilities of being a Councillor? 

Local Government Elections will be held on Saturday, 18 October 2025. 

If you're considering nominating for Council, come along to an informal information session featuring: 

• A live webinar presented by WALGA, the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) and WA Electoral Commission (WAEC). 

• Insights from the Shire President and Acting CEO. 

• An opportunity to ask questions and connect with others.
