Have your say on the Draft Town Beach Foreshore Management Plan

The Shire of Broome has developed the Draft Town Beach Foreshore Management Plan to guide the use and development of the area between Town Beach Jetty and Demco Reserve.

The Draft Plan follows community and stakeholder engagement on the use and aspirations for this highly valued public space that runs north from Town Beach and Town Beach Cafe site and along foreshore in front of the Roebuck Bay caravan park.

A key recommendation of the Shire’s Coastal Hazard and Risk Management and Adaptation Plan, the Draft Plan addresses issues such as balancing community expectations with desired environmental, economic and recreational outcomes.

It also provides a framework for the ongoing use, management and development of the area while considering coastal processes.

Public comment on the Draft Plan can be submitted in writing to shire@broome.wa.gov.au until 4pm, December 1, 2023.
