Sanctuary Road Caravan Park, Key Worker and Over 55s Village

The Sanctuary Road project is a key priority for the Shire of Broome. 

The project involves developing Lot 3130 Sanctuary Road into a caravan park. The park will encompass tourist camping, cabins and caravan sites, as well as relocatable homes for a key worker and an over 55s residential village. The fully flexible site and relocatable home design will allow the purpose of the accommodation to be altered over time, dependent on local demand and supply.

The project will feature 91 park homes intended as affordable housing for key workers, which are in critical short supply.

The project has already received $7.68 million in grant funding from the State Government. Read more here. 

The Shire anticipates a Request for Tender (RFT) will be released in early 2024 to identify a lessee to develop and operate the site.
